Gee Whiz it's been hot today. Claire's house is like an oven. I stayed with her little sick Shannon, while she fulfilled her duties at the ward. It was a carnival and her other children were o the program. She also played the piano for others on the program.

When she came home the baby's fever had risen to 104.2, so they administered to her, then took her to the doctor, I'm waiting for them to call me.

I wrote to Mabel Nielson today, to tell her the painting was finished. I do hope she likes it. We are planning to take it to her on the 7th of July. If all goes as planned Clell and Ann are also going, and we will take our trailers. We plan o spend two nights at Pine Lake.

My art class is going great. I feel the love those women have for me. After class Ida Burrows the President of the Relief Society came up to me, and planted a kiss on my old cheek and thanked me for spending my time & being such a great teacher!

Della Lee has told me twice, what a great teacher I am. She says, "I am the greatest teacher she has ever seen!" I'd say this was great!

Ida says she will certainly see that we will get a chance to exhibit for the whole ward to see this fall.

Ida said she was giving me a "special" calling when she asked me to teach this class, and that she was well pleased with my response.

I've also just finished Helen's flower Painting: It's 22X28. Mabel's is 24X30. I'm glad they are done.
