Today has been a lot of work, but we have enjoyed it.

Claire, Larry and the children came out , and Dad and I together with all of them (except Kirk), Killed and dressed out twelve big, lovely chickens we raised this summer. It took us all day, and we were tired when we finished. We gave them 2 cut up fryers and two whole ones to bake for helping us.

We offered all the kids a chance to have chicken if they would help us. We knew it was a long and tiresome job. When Claire and Larry came we were so glad. We really appriciated their help. I know the kids have their own projects and jobs to attend to, so it makes it a most appreciated effort when they come to help us.
Tomorrow has been rescheduled for installing the counter tops in our new kitchen. They were supposed to come last Friday, but their machinery broke down. We can hardly wait to have it done.
