Sunday, 19 May 1974

It’s a month since Mike B. had his hernia operation. He was operated on the 19 of April at Cottonwood Hospital. He did exceptionally well and was back to school in a week.

Well, we are not having paint class during the summer at Hillcrest, & I’m sort of glad. We may have a class here at home with a special few, and the understanding I can leave anytime I wish to go with Les. This was hoped for by Della and Claudia Reynolds. I hope it will be worth the time.

Les has not found out anymore about going back to work. He is still with Dr. Reese and we are still having a bad time collecting the insurance money from Travelers. They miss a week or two, then send it all at one time. World insurance have been taking care of our car payment, & without argument.

The MIA, called off their art exhibit, and will stage it the second week in June. Claire, Larry and family came down and helped cook dinner. She brought half the dinner & I finished the other. We surely had a nice one, & then we went to Sacrament Meeting (The Primary Night) after which, we went up to Ariel’s house for a few minutes. Now we are watching tv at home.

At the Hillcrest paint class, one of the girls, Rue Ann, said someone told her mother, that if she ever took an art class -”To take it from Mrs. Clawson - she’s great!”
